Class Overview:
Don’t be intimidated by the tiny squares and strips! The Emma quilt comes together using
assorted 10" squares, along with innovative piecing and cutting techniques made possible by
the Stripology® Squared ruler from GE Designs. Join us for a fun, hands-on class and enjoy
creating this eye-catching quilt.
What You’ll Learn:
• Stripology® ruler basics
• Stripology® cutting techniques
• Piecing techniques for creating accurate blocks
• How to use GEasy ruler stickers for accurate, consistent cuts and squaring up blocks
• Tips for quilt layout and color planning
What to Bring:
Required Supplies:
• Emma Quilt pattern by GE Designs
• Stripology® Squared ruler preferred, or Stripology® XL
• Fabric as listed on the pattern for the quilt size you plan to make
• GEasy ruler stickers
• Rotary cutter, 45 mm or 60 mm with a retractable blade
• Cutting mat, 18" x 24" recommended
• Sewing machine and thread
• Basic sewing supplies, such as pins, scissors, and a seam ripper
Optional Supplies:
• Small iron and pressing mat
• Snacks, lunch, and drinks
Minimum students to make class is 4.
