Christmas Barn Quilt Class
BARN QUILT – NOV 23, 10-4pm $85 All supplies furnished.
Barn Quilts were created to add beautiful folk art to the outside of barns for people to view as they drove by. They were originally a quilt block that was painted to duplicate a fabric quilt block and then hung for display on barns. Now painted barn quilts continue to be displayed on barns/sheds; however, today they are also used to decorate the inside of homes. They are made in all sizes from small ornament size to very large. Painted barn quilts are mostly traditional quilt pattern designs; however, some designers are making barn quilts with a modern twist as the fabric quilting designs have become more intricate and detailed.
Join us as we paint a 2’x 2’ barn quilt. You may choose your own design. We will also have stencils available if you would like to add an extra touch to your design. It’s a great time to make a gift for someone special!
