B990 Ultimate Event
Come meet the new BERNINA 990 and learn what all the hype is about. Joanne Leonard (yes, our Joanne on loan from BERNINA!) will be presenting this 3-hour demonstration that includes a sample project.
Joanne will show features, explain benefits and answer questions. We are hoping to have several machines so everyone can have a hands-on experience.
Refreshments and door prizes will make this a fun event!

| Instructor Bio: | Joanne’s love for BERNINA is infectious. Sit in front of a machine with Joanne and she will show you more features than you knew existed! Drawing on the knowledge she gained through eight years working and teaching in a successful BERNINA dealership, she loves to help sewists match their sewing style and techniques to the perfect machine. You will be excited to get that machine home and start many new projects. But then she goes above and beyond, showing how to customize the settings on the machine to their specific needs and really let those BERNINA features shine! For several years Joanne has taught new owner mastery classes and helped take the fear out of sitting in front of a new machine. Joanne loves to share tips, tricks and answer any questions in a style that makes the customer feel comfortable asking questions; she believes there is no learning curve that patience and understanding can’t overcome! She loves to demo and wow customers with BERNINA features. Joanne will share her knowledge (and her mistakes!) that have led to her growth as a sewist. Joanne has been sewing since she was five years old. Although her mom and aunts didn’t let her use a sewing machine early on, she could hand piece some fancy Barbie clothes. Her first job was at a big box store that had the same name as her. She was a garment sewist for years then moved on to quilting and other crafts. Over the years Joanne has taught many sewing and craft classes to include BERNINA Club, Block of the Months, Tucker University and many quilt classes. She has assisted in large events such as two Kaffe Fassett workshops and BERNINA Academies. She will make your events fun and informative. Joanne was a partner in a startup to teach refugees to sew for profit. She believes language is not a barrier in sharing and teaching the love of sewing. Whether you are looking to host a special event or simply provide your customers with an outstanding educational experience, Joanne will inspire your love of sewing! |
