Rope Bowl - Finishing Touches
Now that you have mastered the art of making rope bowls, you need to find different ways of finishing your product. If you have not discovered yet, using variegated thread, fabric, and colored rope will make the same sized bowl look uniquely different. So why not add other features to the same bowl! You can give it a new look by adding handles, beads, braids, and buttons. Come join the class to experiment with different finishing touches that will enhance your already perfect bowl.
Supply List:
Working Sewing Machine
Slide on table for sewing machine
Open Toe ZigZag foot/correct stitch plate
Jeans needle: 100/16
Scissors - for thread and rope
Pins
Clips
Measuring Tape/Yard Stick
Thread: Aurifil 50wt cotton Natural color will match the rope, you can use colored if you
prefer. This will be used for upper/lower thread.
25 - 50 yards of 3/16 rope at Sew Much Fun
(This will depend on how big of a bowl you want to do or how many little projects)
Finishing Touches: buttons, beads (hole big enough for the rope)
