Beginner Rope Bowl
Want to learn how to make your own decorative rope bowl? This beginner’s rope class will teach you the basics to get you started. You will learn how to coil your base, measure the rope, determine the width of your bowl, and how to angle your hands to make the sides. We will talk about strategies to add decorative features, tension on the feeding rope, and how to finish the bowl. This class is designed to give you the basic techniques so that you can become addicted to it as I have!
Supply List:
Working Sewing Machine
Open Toe ZigZag foot
Jeans needle: 100/16
Scissors - for thread and rope
Yard Stick
Glue Stick
Thread: Aurifil 50wt Natural color will match the rope, you can use colored if you
prefer. This will be used for upper/lower thread.
Optional: ½” cut strips of fabric
You will need to purchase a 25 yard bundle of rope.
