Have fun ‘dressing’ your characters while learning to do curves with ease! This fun quilt is a great way to show off some of those fabrics you’ve been saving for ‘the right pattern’! The clothes only take a 10” square…so grab your fun fabrics and join us!
Deb will walk you through how to sew curves without pins or matching centers with the Sew Kind of Wonderful Wonder Curve Ruler.
We will concentrate in class on learning the techniques to create the curved shapes in the quilt. The goal is to have 2 to 3 completed characters.
Things to have available: Happy Together pattern, Wonder Curve Ruler, rotary cutters, straight 24" ruler (handy, not required), 6” - 10” square ruler
Class Level: Confident Beginner - students should be able to use rotary cutter and sew 1/4" seam
Student Objectives: Learn to use Wonder Curve Ruler, have a good start towards at least 2 characters

Fabric Requirements:
fabric for 3 characters (we will be working on the first, fourth and fifth characters in the top row for class):
(6-8) 10” squares for clothes
(3) 10” squares for hair
(1) fat quarter (minimum) for faces
(3-5) half yard cuts for background (each character will use ~ 1/2 yard)

Pattern - Happy Together by SKW
Sewing Machine in good working order with 1/4” foot
Rotary Cutter - 45 mm with a GOOD/NEW blade
24" x 8 1/2" or similar ruler
6 - 8” square ruler
Thread for piecing (I like Aurfil in a medium/light gray)
Basic sewing supplies - pins, scissors, seam ripper, (stiletto is handy if you have it)
Cutting mat if not in class room
