Out on a Limb

Just Hanging Out on a limb….This is one of Susan’s newest quilts! Her love of birds and especially Peacocks are evident with this tree full of fancy birds with all their beautiful feathers and brilliant color. With simple fused appliqué and lush hand embroidery these birdies come to life in a big way! The appliqué can be machine stitched or whipped stitched and then embellished with hand embroidery around each appliqué! Day one will be cutting and fusing, day 2 will be hand embroidery around each bird and all appliqués. The pieced Diamond Square in a Square border is very simple with careful machine sewing. Susan will give instructions on how to make your piecing as perfect as possible! Those points make a big impact. Border can be done later.
