Bag Making 101
Have you ever wanted to make a bag pattern from by Annie and were afraid of the zippers? This class is a good introduction to making all the By Annie Bags.
We will make a large ditty bag during class.
Supplies:
Ditty Bag Pattern by Annie
Fabric requirements found on pattern for large bag
16” zipper or longer
Sewing machine in working order, power cord, foot pedal
Zipper foot for your machine
Basic sewing supplies, Wonder Clips, Straight Pins, marking pen that marks on your fabric, ruler, scissors, rotary cutter, thread
Supplies can be purchased at Sew Much Fun
Homework
In order to complete your bag during this class
- Following directions in the pattern:
- Cut Soft and Stable and fabric for both the front piece and the lining piece
- Sandwich the Soft and Stable between your top and bottom pieces of fabric. Quilt the 18” by 20” pieces of fabric, and by Annie Soft and Stable by any method of quilting you prefer (straight line, free motion, etc.).
Have this ready for class because else you will not finish in class.
We will start the class by cutting our pieces.
