Perfect Machine Applique
Do you want perfect applique? Well this is the class for you! Never be afraid of applique again after you learn all the easy ways to make it perfect! Spend some time with Susan & you will be able to applique anything you want. These techniques can be used on clothing, quilts, pillows, purses, curtains, anything that will stay still can be appliqued. We will use may different stitches & fabrics. There will be at least 4 different applique techniques for you to perfect.

Sewing machine with zig-zag capabilities
Susan’s Pattern $8.00 (“My First Little House”) available in class
Fat Quarter of background fabric
14” square of house fabric
Fat quarter of green for flower stem
6-8 (12” or larger) assorted fabrics for borders, flower, roof, etc.
1/2 yd. of Wonder-Under (no Heat-n-Bond)
1/2 yd. Stitch-n-Tear
Pencil
Paper & fabric scissors
Appliqué Pressing Sheet (available at SMF)
Rotary Cutter & Quilter’s Ruler
100% Cotton Threads: 50 wt. for piecing & satin stitch, 40 wt, 30 wt, & 12 wt for decorative stitching. (Threads can be purchased during class if you are confused.)
