With every machine purchase at classes are offered so that you can “master” all that your machine can do for you. We feel that the more you know about your machine, the more you will enjoy your sewing experience. Our students are invited to attend My BERNINA Classes as often as they like. We understand that “reinforcement” leads to true mastery.

All About Embroidery This is an in-store, virtual education event that includes a 30-45 minute embroidery presentation by a knowledgeable BERNINA educator . Bring a USB stick to class to have ALL the class information (video presentation, power point lesson, free designs) put on for you. $15 per class.

Bernina Club - Sew Much Fun! is excited to offer this class where you will have fun exploring new patterns and techniques. Each class will include a Power Point presentation and each student will bring a USB stick to have all instructional material and video presentation downloaded to it.. Susan Fears, BERNINA educator will present in a recorded webinar. Class Fee is $15 but if you also sign up for All About Embroidery or Software Club, you will get one class for FREE! (Store credit given)

This class is designed to take all the fear out of binding your quilts!  No longer will you be struggling with the mitered corners on those quilts you have worked so hard on.  There will be several binding techniques discussed for different types of quilts.

Turn a layer cake and charm pack into a stunning quilt called Coin Toss. In this class, we'll learn 3 different techniques for using the five and dime ruler. We'll play around with how setting the center square or cutting blocks in different ways can create such different looks, and we'll combine two very easy blocks to create this simple but stunning quilt.

You have finished sewing your tuffet cover and now need to upholster your footstool. We will be working in pairs and you will get to choose your construction time so there will be less waiting time on the staple gun, etc. Fee: $80 includes Kit (wooden base, foam, batting, button, cording, staples with air gun). You will need to select and purchase your feet ($32 for all 4). Instructor: Marcia

Use the Crazy Curves 7” templates to make the Circle Dance quilt. 20 fat quarters can be easily cut using a small rotary cutter. Go wild and make it a scrappy quilt or choose a fabric collection for a beautifully blended quilt. 3 ˝” templates are optional but can be used to make four blocks that can be sewn together to form a 7” block. Just three pins are all that you need to make this curved block. No need to fear curves again after working with these templates.

Learn to sew a gorgeous cover with your choice of fabrics during the first class session and turn the cover into an upholstered footstool in the second class.

Do you have daughters or granddaughters who love anything that sparkles? I do and have had so much fun turning ordinary t-shirts into one of a kind “Sparkly” shirts. Come see how easy it is to use your embroidery machine ( Bernina 5, 7 & 8 series ) to create one of a kind embellishments. Materials for this class will be provided including materials for template, crystals, and design transfer. You will need to supply your own t-shirt.

Fabric selection will be the toughest part of this tree skirt. Select your fabrics quickly before all the beautiful Christmas fabrics are sold out. If you have made a Log Cabin this tree skirt is just a two sided Log Cabin. This pattern could also work as a table topper if the last seam is sewn shut and a circle appliquéd over the center opening. Once you learn the French Braid technique it will open many possibilities for future quilts.

Bring your project and a dish to share. We always have sew much fun in this class! There is no fee, but we need for you to let us know you will be here so we can be prepared.

Do you want to learn how to use your Cricut or Silhouette machine to make custom HT vinyl designs? This class will cover the basics of creating and modifying designs using online design software, as well as working with different types of iron on vinyl. We'll cover sizing, slicing, layering, importing, and customizing SVG files. The possibilities are endless with HTV!

Have you always wanted to sew? Our Intro to Sewing class will help you get to know your machine, as well as the basics of pinning, cutting, pressing, and stitching. During this class, you’ll also learn the basics of hemming, adjusting stitches for certain projects, and finishing edges. Bring your machine from home, or test drive one of our Bernina classroom machines. At the end of the class, you will have made a tissue holder to take home! Adults and teens welcome. 6 to 8:30 $25

Turn a jelly roll into a stunning lone star quilt, without having to suffer through any y-seams! We'll play with colors to give your lone star a radiant effect, and work on how to easily create perfect points when working on bias edges.

After learning the basics in Intro to Sewing, the Learning to Sew classes allow you to create a project of your choosing. In these classes, we will focus on understanding patterns and online tutorials while making several different sewing projects and gifts. Supplies are not included in the cost of the class and will vary according to each project. Each student will work at their own pace.

The 3 hr. machine quilting class just grew into 5 hrs. of quilting play!  We will learn lots of techniques for free-motion quilting, from stippling to flowers & feathers.  There will also be instructions for using the walking foot, so bring your “quilt sandwiches” & come play & draw with your sewing machine

Overlocker Class 1: Basic Serger Use—All BERNINA overlockers (except 009DCC). Designed to make you comfortable with your new serger, this class covers threading, tension settings, and basic serger applications. My BERNINA Overlocker Class 2 Serger Class 2: Serging Ahead—All BERNINA sergers. Learn to use your serger for more than seaming and edge finishes. This class explores the use of serger accessory presser feet and attachments for both embellishment and practical uses. You’ll also discover how to incorporate chain and cover stitching if your model offers these features. Explore the decorative stitches and creative functions of your BERNINA sewing machine while learning embellishments for almost any type of project; this class is designed for all computerized BERNINA sewing machines. My BERNINA Class 3 ”Creative Options”780 and 8-series machines. This class examines the distinctive features and functions that make these models unique and useful additions to your sewing rooms. Topics covered: setup program; stitch collage; long stitch; tapering stitches; multi-directional stitching; free-form directional stitching; all-over directional stitching; trailing tulip vines; and monograms. 10 to 4

The monthly club for machine embroidery or traditional applique enthusiast will focus on different sewing feet and techniques using tea towels. The projects are so cute! We will work ahead so you have the towel ready to use the next month. You will learn a lot about your machine and about different feet and techniques. 12 months long; 4th Saturday; 10 to 12. You are invited to stay to finish your towel.

Playing with Thread & Free-Motion Embroidery Description This class teaches you more free-motion techniques by learning how to stitch a leaf, nest, flower or other designs even if you don’t have an embroidery machine. These are embellishments you can add to any of your projects, such as leaves for an art quilt, or nest for those little eggs. Susan will have many ideas for you to play with. Little Forest Fairy Spoons for ornaments or wall displays. This new skill will allow you to add fun elements to any of your creations! It’s SEW MUCH FUN!!!

This beginning quilting class will explore many piecing techniques. You will learn from ground zero how to cut, sew & press each block. We will also talk about products & how they affect the finished quilt. So use the good stuff! Good thread, good fabric, good tools, good skills make for a beautiful finish! Each block will build to create a wall hanging or baby quilt or small lap quilt when finished. You will have a quilt top at the end of class using 3 different piecing techniques and machine applique techniques. Software Inspirations Sew Much Fun! is hosting a virtual software presentation by a BERNINA Educator. Each month will include a software lesson with instructions for the various levels of BERNINA Embroidery Software. You will also receive instructions for using your new software knowledge to create a project and have an opportunity to try your hand at a number of embroidery and embellishment techniques. Each session is $15. If you sign up for the other 2 clubs (All About Embroidery and BERNINA Club), you will receive one club FREE! Software 7 Mastery Class 7—Tuesday, 9/22, 6 to 9 In this lesson, we will explore the many possibilities of Art Canvas with Corel DRAW Essentials X6.  This class will highlight the basics and how to use them to the greatest effect.

This is a great first quilt to make! Or maybe you just need a fun & easy project to jump start your new year. Using batiks for this stunning quilt will make it so much fun to choose the fabrics. The Sizzix will be used for all the applique pieces (or if you do not have a Sizzix you can cut the appliques other ways). A very quick project for those cold winter nights.

Pick out your favorite holiday charm pack and create new stockings for your mantel or to give as a gift. This stocking uses 5” charms or fat quarters and the Lil Twister template. We will be creating a continuous pinwheels with this template. This uncuffed stocking measures 12.5” x 19”. Santa will be able to fill this stocking to the brim with goodies.
