We feel that the more you know about your machine, the more you will enjoy your sewing experience. Our students are invited to attend My BERNINA Classes as often as they like. We understand that “reinforcement” leads to true mastery.

All About Embroidery New for 2016 - Saturday sit and sew classes! Come to this education event that includes a 30-45 minute embroidery presentation by a knowledgeable BERNINA educator . After the presentation, you are invited to bring your machine so you can get started on the project (maybe finish?) and spend the day sewing with your fellow embroiders. Bring a USB stick to class to have ALL the class information (video presentation, power point lesson, free designs) put on for you. Still only $15 per class.

New for 2016 - Thursday evening Bernina Club with Joanne giving you all her tips and tricks! - Sew Much Fun! is excited to offer this class where you will have fun exploring new patterns and techniques. Each class will include a Power Point presentation and each student will bring a USB stick to have all instructional material and video presentation downloaded to it.. Susan Fears, BERNINA educator will present in a recorded webinar. Class Fee is still only $15. Beginning in May, Bernina Club will have a sit and sew option. Bring your sewing machine if you would like to start on your project. You still have the option to come and view the webinar only.

We love to sew for our young daughters & granddaughters. Let’s make some clothes for her dolls. You can sew a wardrobe for baby dolls or those wonderful 18 inch tall dolls (American Girl style). It’s a fun and easy day project that makes great gifts at half the price of purchased doll clothes.

Fabric selection will be the toughest part of this tree skirt. Select your fabrics quickly before all the beautiful Christmas fabrics are sold out. If you have made a Log Cabin this tree skirt is just a two sided Log Cabin. This pattern could also work as a table topper if the last seam is sewn shut and a circle appliquéd over the center opening. Once you learn the French Braid technique it will open many possibilities for future quilts.

Bring your project and a dish to share. We always have sew much fun in this class! There is no fee, but we need for you to let us know you will be here so we can be prepared. This event is for adults 18 years old or older.

Have you always wanted to sew? Our Intro to Sewing class will help you get to know your machine, as well as the basics of pinning, cutting, pressing, and stitching. During this class, you’ll also learn the basics of hemming, adjusting stitches for certain projects, and finishing edges. Bring your machine from home, or test drive one of our Bernina classroom machines. At the end of the class, you will have made a tissue holder to take home! Adults and teens welcome. 6 to 8:30 $25

This is a great time for kids to try out sewing and see if it is a hobby they would like. In this camp we will make several simple projects ranging from a tote bag and pillow to shorts. We will try out several sewing techniques and work on basic sewing skills. Materials are included for the projects. Students are encouraged to bring their own sewing machine. Just bring a bag lunch Monday -Friday.

We will introduce sewing basics and learn how to read patterns while making different sewing projects and gifts. We will be using Kwik Start & Kwik Sew Learning to Sew Patterns. Patterns and supplies are not included in the cost of class & will vary according to each project. Each student will work at their own pace.

We wear them all the time, so why not come & see how easy they are to make. I started with the MYLA TANK top with those long sides that cover all our sins. Done in two hours, yes, I used my serger but if you don’t have one, no problem. Next, I found a NANCY ZIEMAN’S pattern, NEWPORT PULLOVER, (just like my CHICO’S top) a great fall project. I’ll crush all your fears of sewing knits while giving you lots of quick & easy short cuts.

Paper piecing doesn’t have to be scary, and once you know this process, you will have a whole new world open to you. But be forewarned that by the end of class, you’ll be upset you didn’t have this simple technique in your arsenal until now! You can be a new quilter or a veteran quilter in need of a refresher. After learning the basics in the INTRO TO SEWING class, the LEARNING TO SEW classes allow you to do a project of your own choosing or one of the class samples. Each week of the month we will have instructions a different sewing technique. Supplies are not included in the cost of the class and will vary according to each project. The 3 hr. machine quilting class just grew into 5 hrs. of quilting play!  We will learn lots of techniques for free-motion quilting, from stippling to flowers & feathers.  There will also be instructions for using the walking foot, so bring your “quilt sandwiches” & come play & draw with your sewing machine

Grab your scraps and join us to make this fun holiday wall hanging. You can make it wild or traditional or a mix of both. This 32" x 38" wall hanging is a combination of appliqué and pieced blocks. We already have new Halloween and Christmas fabrics to get you started. Pack up your blenders to pair with our new holiday fabrics and let the fun begin. We will spread this class out over a few months so there will be plenty of time to get finished before fall.

This beginning quilting class will explore many piecing techniques. You will learn from ground zero how to cut, sew & press each block. We will also talk about products & how they affect the finished quilt. So use the good stuff! Good thread, good fabric, good tools, good skills make for a beautiful finish! Each block will build to create a wall hanging or baby quilt or small lap quilt when finished. This is a new class series for Sew Much Fun! The goal is for you to have an opportunity to take a class, once a month, from May to October, in which you will make a variety of items as Christmas gifts for your list of friends and family. Take one or more classes, whichever fit your interests and schedule. In May, we will be using the book, Let’s Do Lunch, and making a beautiful table runner using your choice of Christmas fabric or other fabric. We will use the same book again, in June, to make octagon placemats. Sign up now, for the May class to make your table runner, and the June class, to make your placemats, and you will have Christmas gifts ready before Halloween! My samples use Christmas fabrics, but you are welcome to use any fabrics that are appropriate for your gift.

Software Inspirations New for 2016 - Saturday classes! Sew Much Fun! is hosting a virtual software presentation by a BERNINA Educator. Each month will include a software lesson with instructions for the various levels of BERNINA Embroidery Software. You will also receive instructions for using your new software knowledge to create a project and have an opportunity to try your hand at a number of embroidery and embellishment techniques. Each session is $15. Reinforce your knowledge and bring your computer to class and have a hands on class on the lesson presented in the webinar. If you have been wondering about the software and want to come sit in on the demonstration, please come as our guest! We do ask you to sign up so we can arrange the classroom appropriately.
